New York Premiere of Péter Bacsó's Film

In his last film, Péter Bacsó (director of the 1969 classic The Witness) explores the stark modern-day reality of life for urban orphans in Hungary.

Ubrankovics radiates a good natured innocence unmatched since Giulietta Masina in Fellini's "Nights of Cabiria."

The screening was followed by a Q/A with the award-winning young star of the film, Júlia Ubrankovics, who also shared her experiences working with the legendary director who died in March 2009 at the age of 81.
