On Thursday, February 2, 2006, Honorable Ambassador Dr. Gábor Horváth, Consul General of Hungary in New York hosted a dinner at the Hungarian Consulate for members of the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York (CBSAC/NY) and the New York Hungarian Connection (NYHC). The event was the fourth in the "Dinner with the Consul General Series" organized by the International Committee of the CBSAC/NY. Previous dinners had been hosted by the Consuls General of Turkey, India, and Mexico in restaurants serving dishes from these countries. The Hungarian dinner was the first to be hosted at the consulate, providing a special atmosphere and a unique introduction to Hungarian hospitality. The event was organized by Marian Olah from NYHC and Melek Pulatkonak from CBSAC/NY.

After the delicious Hungarian dinner, Dr. Gábor Horváth gave a brief talk about the Hungarian perspective on globalization, Europe, and the transatlantic relations. After the talk, the guests had a chance to ask questions and engage in a lively conversation with the Consul General about business opportunities in Hungary.
