László Jakab Orsós, Director of HCC, greeted guests and introduced
Balázs Szokolay, internationally renowned pianist from Hungary,
first pianist to play on the HCC's newly acquired Pramberger piano

Balázs Szokolay, one of Hungary’s best pianists, was born into a family of musicians in Budapest. He has given concerts and offered master classes in over 30 countries; has been a prizewinner at many international piano and chamber music competitions and was awarded the prestigious Liszt Prize.

His repertoire covers a wide range of styles with a strong focus on chamber music.
